It’s really hard to describe just how well she was able to capture the energy and spirit of my brother with “This is Cooper”. It’s the kind of feeling which makes it seem like he’s in the same room as you when you look into his eyes, like he never left. The details are impressive, right down to the freckles, the wrinkles, the reflections in the eyes. It’s an intimacy that starts as soon as the pencil hits the grain. It’s one thing to look at a photo of a family member, but to blend this beautiful, hand-drawn talent onto a wooden canvas, where each wood grain weaves in and out of the soul of the piece is just absolutely remarkable to look at.
